What's New!
October
Go-Live!!
We are officially live on PeopleSoft Student Administration!! Thanks to
all the heroes from both the project, Enrollment Services and the entire
campus community that have made this exciting day possible.
Today we went live on Recruiting, Admissions and Campus Community.
In addition we rolled out the first phase of My CSUEB which will be the
replacement for MyINFO when we fully go live with PeopleSoft. As of today,
applicants will check their admissions status for Summer/Fall 2007 in
My CSUEB and all students will make changes to address, emergency contact,
phone and non-Horizon email information in My CSUEB. My CSUEB will continue
to evolve for students throughout the upcoming PeopleSoft go-lives.
Some of the big wins ..
1) We can load Mentor applications today!! This is a major win! In
the past we had to wait for Hershey updates to be in place which often
took 30 days or more!
2) We have one database to capture student data from the time we first
see a student as a prospect to the time they graduate and beyond into
alumni relations. Over time, this will give us a full picture of the
student during his/her entire experience at CSU East Bay.
3) A major overhaul of student communications occurred and is now in
place. The Enrollment Services communications team has rewritten and
re-timed most of the student communications to put a much more positive
face on the University to our prospects, applicants and students.
4) We can add prospects from Mentor and from test scores. CSU Mentor has
the capability to collect student interest in CSU campuses so we can now
follow up with those prospects. In addition, as people take their SAT
and ACT tests, if they list CSU East Bay as a recipient of those scores,
we can add them as a prospect as well.
There will be some glitches as we start up. This is a huge application.
Please be patient, work with your Local Support Representatives and use
pssahelp@csueastbay if you have issues. Please read your massmail emails
as that will be our primary listserv for communication. In addition, please
visit the student administration support pages at http://utp.csueastbay.edu.
Thanks again to all of you that worked to make this day a day of celebration!!
