Readiness Assessment
The CSU Chancellor's Office seeks an objective evaluation and recommendation
on the readiness of each campus to begin the implementation of the
PeopleSoft Student Administration module. Following the format and
criteria provided in the CMS
Campus Readiness Assessment Guidelines, the written evaluation
is expected to address the campus' strengths and weaknesses in each
area, and to provide specific recommendations for additional preparation
and/or commitment of resources that would further assist the campus
in achieving an optimum state of readiness.
The Readiness Assessment started on August 23, 2005 with a
Kick Off meeting. The Process
will continue through August and end with the written assessment
being submitted to the Chancellor's Office in late October. Details
can be found in the campus Assessment
Schedule.
As part of this process, consultants conducted surveys and met
with members of the University community to assess our readiness
to implement successfully the PeopleSoft/Oracle Student Administration
system. In late November 2005, the President reviewed the
Readiness Assessment and sent it to the Chancellor's Office.
The next steps involve senior leadership in the CMS Central area
at the Chancellor's Office reviewing the assessment and interviewing
the Io consultants who performed the assessment to make their recommendations
to Richard West.
